Security Technologist, Security - Operations

Security Technologist is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security systems and equipment.

This may include alarms, access control systems, video surveillance systems, and other security technologies.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or any related discipline that is equivalent.
Possesses minimum 2 - 3 years of working experience in related fields.
Experienced in developing and drive solutions strategies
Candidates with experience in networking protocols, security methods and physical security equipment will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of Security Technology/Digital initiatives for the Physical Security System, comprising CCTV, Access Control System, Turnstile System, and Face Recognition System. This includes developing, integrating, documenting, and implementing standards and procedures, assessing exposures internally and/or with business partners.
Ensure standard controls for the Physical Security System are defined for all new and upgrade projects and are implemented within the design stages of any new development and renovation projects.
Review and validate Physical Security System integration capabilities and the placement of specific services, products, and/or Security Technology with new and existing risks, issues, and threats towards Organisation people, assets, and Customers.
Lead the preparation of RFI/RFQ and RFP, evaluations, and vendor engagements for any sourcing of external goods and services related to Security Technology, adhering to market best practice/industry standards.
Supervise the design, development, and implementation of appropriate Organisation Infrastructure related to Security Technology on monitoring/reporting, intrusion detection, incident response, and escalation mechanisms and procedures.
Provide physical, system, and technical security guidance to business/support units as required.
Research, identify, plan, and strategize physical security system enhancement projects by identifying the best industry practice with cost-effectiveness in mind.
Establish a common framework for security compliance and measurements. In the process, also roll-out and develop a security culture and mindset within the operational groups.
Represent Organisation in engagements and be involved with security councils, professional support associations, and official authorities, national agencies, as well as other Telcos.
Continuously review, implement, and maintain effective security policies, procedures, and practices for personnel, assets, information, and business operational activities.
Guide and coach the security coordinators of the various facilities for local guard services, security systems, and security standard operating procedures.
Hold dialogues and meetings with security vendors and contractors on security system repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements. Liaise with them on system evaluation trials, testing, observation, frequent troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Be the subject matter expert and provide direction, oversight, and compliance management of all regulatory security commitments.
Articulate Crisis Path Method, design, and support the planning and management of fit-out projects.
